December 2014
This project has been completed.
October 2014
Other than some paving, the County Water Improvement Project has been completed.
March 2014
The project is currently on schedule with work currently taking place on the storage tank and pump house. The lines have all been installed along with the fire hydrants. The road asphalting will take place as soon as the weather breaks and the asphalt plants open up for the season.
We have had several vehicles and foot traffic on the common area where the pipe has been installed. This area is off limits to all of us until we get a good growth of grass and the area has settled. The contractor is not happy about the damage that has already taken place and may bill King George for additional landscaping. The property owners will end up paying for additional work. All residents should be vigilant in protecting the construction area and report trespassers to the King George sheriff if necessary. Contact Tom Hudson @ 540-226-5073 for questions.
December 2013
The lines have been installed for both water and sewage from Fairview Drive to Fifth Street with the water line extending to Sixth St. The fire hydrants have not been installed yet on any of these streets. The area that was dug up has been sowed but needs to be reseeded because of the high winds last weekend. The water line from Fifth St. is in the process of being extended and hooked to the line by the Marina. The well has been completed but the support infrastructure still needs to get started

Chris Thomas, of the K.G. Service Authority, was present at the F.B.R.A. meeting on 10/25/08 to discuss a project to enhance the water access at Fairview.
The purpose of the project is to provide a greater volume of water. The additional water would be available upon high demand in an emergency situation.
There exists a study on this project entitled Fairview Beach and Potomac Landing Water System Evaluation Study. Due to its massive size, it will not be accessible here.
The project is still in the planning stages.
